WINE DINNERS

We are pleased to announce the Barcelona Spring Wine Dinner Series. Join Barcelona’s wine director, Gretchen Thomas, in these vino-filled evenings to learn, experience and taste the gastronomy of our favorite Latin nations.

Thursday, May 14 / Barcelona Greenwich / 7:00 pm
Wines of Uruguay
$68 per person

Once again, our favorite winemaker, Francisco Carrau from Uruguay, is stopping by to share his latest vintages with his Barcelona fans. This is our third annual Uruguay dinner, featuring the outstanding wines of Bodegas Carrau, several of which are imported into the U.S. exclusively for the Barcelona Restaurant Group. Carrau is not only the pioneer of the wine industry in Uruguay, with vineyards dating back to 1752; he is also considered the greatest winemaker of Tannat in South America. These special wines will be matched with a traditional Uruguayan feast by our Corporate Exec. Chef, Adam Halberg.

Thursday, May 21 / Barcelona West Hartford / 7:00 pm
THINK PINK!
$75 per person

Think Pink is Barcelona’s first public wine event designed to raise funds for the Connecticut Breast Cancer Coalition/Foundation. The CBCF is the only statewide all-volunteer, grassroots advocacy group working to stem the breast cancer epidemic. On this evening we will be featuring all the latest release Rosé wines of the season from all over the globe, paired with traditional cuisine by Executive Chef Adam Greenberg. All the profits of the evening will be donated to the CBCF. So join us for this special night to sample Spring’s delicious rosados and support our state’s fight for the cure of breast cancer.

Thursday, June 4 / Barcelona Fairfield/ 7:00 pm
Exploring Chile
$60 per person

Finally, the long-time “sleeping giant” wine region is awakening, offering amazing, passion driven wines at great values. Our good friend Jorge Perez, the South American wine selector for T. Edward Wines (and a Chile native) will be joining Barcelona this evening to taste us through some of his outstanding discoveries from several regions including Leyda Valley, Colchagua and Alto del Maipo. Jorge’s knowledge of Chile is impressive, and his portfolio well represents his thirst for this underappreciated region. This is our debut wine dinner on our Fairfield patio this season; so if you’ve been searching for an excuse to check it out, this would be it!
