We are pleased to announce the Barcelona Fall/Winter Wine Dinner Series. Dusting off our jackets, dreading the cold mornings of raking and shoveling, we are all realizing the holiday season is approaching quickly. With the frigid weather comes many nights of celebrating and festivities that we all look forward to. Please join us and warm up at our latest series of wine dinners, guaranteed to be convivial evenings of great wine, food and conversation.

November 6/ Barcelona Fairfield / 7:00 pm
Vinos de Terruño
$68 for 1 person, $58 per person for 2-3 people, $53 per person for 4 or more people

This dinner will be celebrating the terroir-driven wines of Spain. As the wine world evolves quickly, ‘internationalization’ is blurring the lines between classic and modern styles. Terroir – known as Terruño in Spain – is becoming difficult to find even from Old World producers. However there are still those that strive to protect tradition by allowing the vineyards to create the wines, preserving the natural flavors of the earth. Barcelona Wine Director Gretchen Thomas will be leading discussion of the diverse soils and climates of Spain, and pairing her favorites with regional foods created by Executive Chef Adam Halberg.

November 19 / Barcelona Greenwich / 7:00 pm
The Great Wines of Rioja
$85 for 1 person, $75 per person for 2-3 people, $70 per person for 4 or more people
more info here

Joining us will be Adrian Murcia,  the fromager and assistant sommelier for NYC’s Chanterelle and the national spokesperson for ‘Vibrant Rioja.’ Ever the most popular wine-producing region in Spain, Rioja produces some of the most ageworthy, prolific wines in the world. Barcelona Wine Bar has been enjoying a long love affair with these wines, and for this dinner we will be trying some of our all-time favorites paired with traditional cuisine of the region. Adrian has immense knowledge of the history and wines of Rioja and will be sharing his enthusiastic point-of-view on these exceptional wines.
