Intro to Murcia

The region of Murcia is located on the Mediterranean coast in southeastern Spain. It is a major producer of flowers, fruits, vegetables, and high-quality wine. The town of Jumilla in the northern part of the region has been producing full-bodied red wines for centuries. Cuisine includes roasted meats, rice, stews, and great seafood due to its location on the Mediterranean. The city of Murcia, the largest in the region, is home to many historic sites, including its famous Gothic Cathedral built in the 14th century.
