Gretchen has just announced her new batch of wine dinners and cocktail classes through September! We are also very happy to now offer online reservations.

Wednesday, June 27 / Barcelona West Hartford / 7:00 pm

This dinner is an annual Spring tradition at our Fairfield location, and I thought it’s time to share the fun with our friends in the Hartford area this Summer. The theme is simple – let’s enjoy some great Spanish wines paired with a traditional family supper Spanish pig roast BBQ. The evening will be hosted by Deidre Magnello, a wine guru that is well loved locally amongst the restaurants and retail shops, as well as the CT representative of the Frontier Imports wines from Spain. Chef Jason Welch will be preparing the pig (something he has mastered since we have our pig roast every Sunday) and all the fixins.

This week-long celebration in Navarra is famous for its Running of the Bulls festival held annually in Pamplona. But I think Barcelona’s annual party counts as a close second, with just as much wine involved, minus the traumatic bull gouging injuries (well, so far). Celebrate this famous Spanish holiday with us at our casual walk-around tasting featuring some of the best value wines coming from Spain, nosh on tapas and our indulgent “paella grande.” Antonio the bull will be making a special guest appearance and promises to be on his best bull-behavior. Sure to be a fun night!

Please welcome the latest installment of our new event series, the Cocktail Classroom. These fun and informal classes are designed to demystify the art of making delicious drinks. Join Barcelona Greenwich’s lead bartenders as they demonstrate how to prepare some easy and refreshing drinks perfect for the Summer heat. Executive Chef Jodi Bernahrd will be cooking up some cocktail friendly bites while we enjoy drinking in some sun!

Please welcome the latest installment of our new event series, the Cocktail Classroom. These fun and informal classes are designed to demystify the art of making delicious drinks. Join Barcelona South Stamford’s lead bartenders as they demonstrate how to prepare some classic muddled cocktails (such as our infamous mojitos and caipirinhas) as well as how to select appropriate ingredients for your own muddled creations. Executive Chef Scott Quis will be cooking up some cocktail friendly bites while you hone your muddling skills!

This is our seventh annual “Uncorked” wine tasting, where we open more than 30 of our much-loved selections – including all the new wines we discovered in our latest travels to South America and Spain that are recently imported especially for Barcelona. With nearly 400 wines on our list now, many from obscure regions of Spain and South America, we want to entice our wine-loving customers with a chance to try many of our unknown, hidden gems. This walk-around tasting will include wine-friendly passed tapas and our famous Paella Grande by our New Haven Chef, Frank Proto. Don’t miss out on finding your new favorite wine!

La Tomatina!

Our annual and much-anticipated La Tomatina dinner is back! Every year the villages of Valencia celebrate with their famous tomato throwing battle, painting the streets, buildings and revelers red. In homage to this fun holiday we will be serving a special menu by Executive Chef Ben McPherson with each course featuring heirloom tomatoes, the summer season’s greatest fruit. The dinner will be paired with delicious wines from Valencia and other regions of Spain. There could be an impromptu tomato fight, come dressed accordingly!

Sunday, September 23 / Barcelona Fairfield / 5:00 pm
The Big Steak Dinner

Our last patio wine dinner of the season! For the third year in a row, Mark Berlin, owner of Fairfield Foods will be dry ageing prime grade porterhouse steaks just for this dinner, grilled on our outdoor BBQ. Chef Helton Da Silva will be preparing the full menu, each course paired with dynamic wines from the Spanish portfolio…
